Pole Pergola

Commissioned to design and build an outdoor structure, enabling the enjoyment of the entire view offered by the garden.
The ‘Pole Pergola’ looked to use waste materials from local farmers and makers. Two key elements being the timber structure (formed by recycled telegraph poles) and foundation/dry stone wall (removed crushed stone).

Raising of the Poles

The process of slow architecture brought a new light to the project, allowing materials to find there way to the project.
Looking forward the project continues, currently testing wilding techniques and further materials reuse.
The ‘Pole Pergola’ hopes to uncover more techniques and ideas that can find there way into future projects.
